Welcome to LoongBridge China Summer Camps 2009!!
We design China Summer Camp programs for young students to foster their interest and motivation in learning Chinese language and culture, inspire students to develop their own insights about China that might impact their future, and build personal growth and self-confidence for life-time benefit. Our participants said they had learnt more than expected and felt that they could understand more about themselves from their unforgettable trips. For this year, we have three different programs in Beijing China designed for student world-wide to explore China and its rich culture:
Volunteer & Culture Camp (3-weeks):

Volunteer and Culture Camp
This is a 3-week program designed for young students who are caring and compassionate, and would like to give some helps to children and staffs in SOS Children's Village and Sun Village. Both Villages are non-governmental Children charity organizations for providing foster care and education for the children with unfortunate family experiences. A participant will get 50 hours of Community Service credits.
Our volunteers' work are to teach English to children in the Villages, help house works, farm works, organize recreational and sports activities for the children etc., jointly with local Chinese student volunteers from university or high schools.
Before the volunteer works, the participants will first get acquainted with Chinese culture and environment through studying practical Chinese skills and several skills of Chinese traditional, learning Chinese history from museums visits and in-depth explorations of Beijing; understanding livings of Chinese people by talking to them and visiting their homes, appreciating Chinese shows as Peking Opera, Acrobatic shows, Tea-art Performance, etc. At the end of the program, participants will travel to other ancient capitals of China, Xi'an, Luoyang, and Zhengzhou for for eye-opening and cultural enhancement trips.

Language and Arts Camp
For 3 weeks, led by our staffs experienced in cross-cultural education, the program combines study, travel, experiences and challenges altogether to create unforgettable memories for our students.
A student will have 40-hours of Chinese language study consisting of high-quality classroom education, 1-on-1 partnarship with local Chinese students,real-life conversations of field trips etc.; learn several skills of Chinese traditional arts including Chinese painting, Erhu, Martial Arts, Tie-Dye, and paper-cuttings; understand the rich history of ancient China and new challenges of modern China from museum visits and in-depth explorations of Beijing; achieve in-depth understanding of the livings of Chinese people by talks and home visits; take a one-day visit to Children's Charity Village in rural area of Beijing and learn from those children's positive attitude in spite of their unfortunate family backgrounds; watch shows as Peking Opera, Acrobatic shows, Tea-art Performance, etc.; travel to other ancient capitals of China, Xi'an, Luoyang, and Zhengzhou for culture enhancement trips.
Through the 3-week program, we will help students earn and improve Mandarin language skills, inspire students' enthusiasms on Mandarin study and Chinese culture, gain deeper knowledge and insights about China, as well as build personal growth and self-confidence for life-time benefit.

China Insight Camp
This is a 2-week program, designed for students who don't have 3-week bandwidths or prefer easy touches on Chinese language studies. The program combines study, travel, experiences and challenges altogether to provide students broader views and unique insights about China. |

The participants in our program will gain Chinese language skills for practical usage through a series of well-structured classroom education, and real-life experiences of field-trips. Our traditional arts professionals will also teach students several skills of Chinese traditional arts including Chinese painting, Erhu, Martial Arts, Tie-Dye, and Paper-cuttings. Students can get the knowledge of rich history of ancient China from visits to history museums and in-depth explorations and tours in ancient capitals of Beijing, Xi'an, Luoyang and Zhengzhou, as well as eye-witness the rapid development of modern China through a diversity of activities including factory tours, city walks, Olympic Village visits etc. Students will also appreciate traditional Chinese shows as Peking Opera, Acrobatic shows, Kung-fun shows, Tea-art Performance, etc.
While staying in Beijing, students can achieve in-depth understanding of the livings of Chinese people. The experience also includes a one-day visit to Children's charity Village in rural area of Beijing, students will give extra hand, hear the stories behind these Children and learn from these children who never gave up for better life and are growing up happily although with their earlier unfortunate family experiences.
