Program Essentials in Language and Arts Camp
Study Chinese Language
The participants in our program will gain Chinese language skills for practical usage through a series of high-quality classroom Mandarin education, 1-on-1 student tutors, face-to-face daily conversations, and real-life situation and field-trip experiences to places as shops, market, restaurants, and subways.
- The 40 hours Chinese language classes and studies, teaching by experienced instructors for Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from University, are divided into 3 levels for students with diversity backgrounds: Beginner on pronunciation, basic Chinese characters and dialogues, survival Chinese; Intermediate on listening, speaking, reading skills; Advanced with more focus on writing skills, vocabulary, deeper understanding of Chinese culture.
- Each student is assigned a Chinese buddy for 1-on-1 Mandarin practice and also joins in colorful activities with these Chinese students from Beijing BDA Experimental School (the Camp Site) to get immersed into and understand Chinese culture.
- Interesting class field trips are arranged to places as restaurants; market etc. for students to use their learned language skills outside of the classroom into real-life language practices.
Learn Chinese Traditional Arts
Throughout the camp, a participant will also learn several skills of Chinese, taught by professionals and experts, to have a first-hand experience in Chinese culture. A student can grasp basic techniques of these Chinese arts and make true achievements from these classes. Take the one of most exciting and unique opportunity of your lifetime!
Earn Knowledge about China

The program offers a series of culture-enhancement tours to famous sites in ancient, Beijing, Xi'an, Luoyang, Zhengzhou to provide students better understanding of Chinese history and culture.
Beijing, Capital of China, is economic and cultural center in China and the world. With over 14 million people, it has thousand years of history and served as Capital of China for 800 years since Yuan Dynasties in 1206 D.C. |

LuoYang, first became the capital of the Zhou Dynasty in 770 BC., was original city was constructed by the Duke of Zhou in the 11th century BC. It also serves as capitals in Han, Wei and Jin Dynasties. In A.D. 493, the Northern Wei Dynasty also moved its capital to Luoyang and started the construction of the rock-cut Longmen Grottoes. |

ShaoLin Monastery in Zhengzhou, a Buddhist temple in Henan Province. The monastery was built by the Emperor Hsiao-Wen in AD 496, and the first abbot of Shaolin was Batuo, an Indian dhyana master who came to China in AD 464 to spread Buddhist teachings. Long famous for its association with Chinese martial arts, it is the Mahayana Buddhist monastery perhaps best known to the Western world. |
